The Lawrence Foundation was established in 1972 by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. The Foundation helped build the very first pre-natal care unit in California at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Countless babies were saved and are now grown; in some cases the children and grandchildren of many of their friends.
The Lawrence Foundation has awarded hundreds of scholarships at UCLA.
In addition, The Lawrence Foundation has support countless of other organizations: Scientific research in Cancer, , Alzheimer’s, Muscular Dystrophy, Pediatric AIDS, Children’s Diabetes, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warriors, UCLA Oncology Center, The Cleveland Clinic and dozens of other worthy charities and organizations.
